Haynes Library is located at 33 Washburn Road in Alexandria. The library is not currently open for book lending and is in the process of renovations.

In 2024, Alexandria voted to accept the Haynes Library as a town library. This development was in response to a proposal from the citizen group that had begun the library’s renovation in 2023.
Upcoming Events at the Library:
Haynes Library – Ham Radio Class
A class for people interested in getting their Ham radio Technician license will be held at the Haynes Library on October 11 and 18, at 1:00 both days.
The first session will be a Show and Tell about Ham radio, and a time to get your questions answered. We will discuss some radio theory, but we won’t be overwhelming you with it.
The second session will be a testing session. There will be Volunteer Examiners present, people authorized to administer the FCC license test.
For the week in between, there is material you should review, and practice tests that you can take online, so that you are prepared for the testing session.
