A Note from Your ACC Conservation Commission

The Alexandria Conservation Commission is sponsoring its 4th annual amateur photo contest, with the 2018  theme; “All Seasons in Alexandria”.  Contestants may submit up to four photographs depicting anything relevant to scenes and activities during various seasons of the year. People at work sugaring, swimming, boating on the lake, fishing, ice fishing, haying, stacking logs, skiing, beautiful barns and homes, scenes throughout the town, antique automobiles – there can be so much more! Shuffle through your old photos, or take some new ones as the seasons pass.

Photos may now be submitted throughout the year, if you choose. Photos must be taken within the Alexandria town limits. Photographers don’t need to be residents of Alexandria to participate.  Contest winners will be announced at a reception in November.  In addition to three overall winners, twelve photographs are selected to appear in the 2019 Alexandria Conservation Commission calendar, which will be available for sale in time for Christmas. Calendars are sold at the Alexandria town office building or from any member of the Conservation Commission.  Look for more details in upcoming town newsletters and local papers! Photos from the 2017 contest are still on display in the Selectboard Office.

Submissions to:, Subject: ACC photo contest. Or bring in an 8×10 print, color or black and white. Please identify your photo with your name, contact information, and location of photo.
